Horace Heidt with his band and 50 entertainers will stage a 2.5 hour variety show at Western College field house in Silver City on Monday Oct. 22. Talent scouts will hold local auditions for CBS and Sunday night shows. entrants must be solo performers over 16 with own accompanist. Ticket sales are underway.

Burglaries at Lone Star Service Station Reported
Local thieves burglarized the Lone Star service station on Wednesday morning taking canned meat vegetables a case of grape preserves about twelve five pound bags of sugar and a case of oxydol investigators note a similar theft occurred on the 3rd of July with a window broken on both occasions
