Woman's Club to Install a Library in Lordsburg
The Lordsburg Woman's Club held a call meeting at Mrs. Elbert Jones's home. Miss Mildred Clayton was elected musical delegate to the State Federation Meeting in Las Cruces October 1 to 3. A plan for a combined club room and library was approved, with one of Mr. Hardin's houses to be fitted up for lending books to residents.

Levi Wright Passes Away After Long Life and Faith
Levi Wright died at his home this morning after a long life of faith. Born in Louisiana on March 8, 1844, he moved to Texas and married Mary Scarborough in DeWitt County. Eleven children blessed the family, with three predeceasing him. He lived near Hed Rockburg for 24 years and was a devoted Deacon in the Baptist Church and longtime Sunday School superintendent. He attended services despite weather for fifty six years.
