Supreme Court Reverses Local Court Decision in Wide Civil Case

The State Supreme Court on August 23 unanimously reversed a District Court ruling in a landmark civil case. Pioneer Mutual Compensation Co and W. O. Wills Jr were ordered to pay Mrs Vera Points of Duncan more than 5000 for her husband’s death at the Blue Belle Mine in Grant County on December 6, 1987. The decision includes funeral costs and court fees. attorneys’ fees are also awarded.
