Mirko Glavanovic, 18, Belgrade native, is a foreign exchange student in Animas, living with the Bakers. He attends seven subjects here compared with 13 to 15 at home, speaks three languages, and enjoys the lighter course load and new culture while praising local people.

A diabetes workshop sponsored by Medicine Shoppe and Border Education Training Center will be held Saturday November 2 from 8:00 AM to 12 noon at the Baxter Civic Center. Dolores Gibson and Armando C Angel MD PhD will lead sessions on introduction to diabetes home care management and in home glucose monitoring with Q&A and post-test.
