Lordsburg residents rally for a town anniversary with parades dances and a frontier themed pageant. Forty entries plus floats and a fortune telling booth highlight festivities while residents prepare fashions crops and crafts for a frontier era celebration across July 7 and 18 at Palace Theatre.

S E Webster Dies Instantly In Duncan Highway Crash

S E Webster chair man of bear Duncan Arizona was killed when the milk truck he drove overturned on the Lordsburg Duncan highway about twenty miles from Lordsburg. He was alone in the truck. the crash occurred around 12:90 pm. Death was instant with a crushed head and multiple bruises.

Among the old timers in Loree burg and vicinity are Mrs Mary Swin appointed chair man to gather Honeer days stories for the Liberal. Anthony Gon ner Lyge Conner Sallie Richardson Knight of Red Rock George Huntchiven of Lordsburg came to New Mexico and Arizona in 1884 from Texas. My Hutchison celebrated his 76th birthday September 17 and has spent about forty six years in New Mexi co and Arizona. We would like to have the names of other old timers of this district.
