Soap Box Derby Weekend Parade and Races Details

Soap Box Derby Day Countdown and Festivities

County To Receive 233 819 From Federal Lands Payments

Senator Pete Domenici announced Hidalgo county will receive 233 819 from the federal government in fiscal 1984 for payments in lieu of taxes on lands within Hidalgo. The Interior Department will distribute checks on September 28, 1984, with New Mexico as the second highest state recipient at 10.2 million for 22.4 acres of federal lands. The funds may be used for any purpose by the recipients.
