Rifle Range Reopens West of Lordsburg With Open Target Day
Last Sunday the newly remodeled rifle range west of Lordsburg hosted about 20 men testing rifle sights before deer and elk season. Lordsburg Rifle Club, organized in 1949 under the NRA, offers free rifles, ammunition, and targets to members with simple qualification. Members invite the public to view next Sunday’s open target day staffed by club volunteers.

Sixteen Tucson Chamber of Commerce members led by Mundey Johnston and C Edger Gayette arrived in Lordsburg at 730 this morning on a special Goodwill trip. The party traveled by private plane to promote goodwill and cooperation across Arizona and New Mexico with summer and fall city visits. An 8 oclock breakfast was served.

Lions Club Hosts Border Patrol Speaker Eldon Taylor

Miss Lucile Richins 16 year old Lordsburg Rodeo Queen finished fourth in the 1951 State Fair Rodeo Queen contest in Albuquerque among seven contestants. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs George Richins and a junior at Lordsburg High School.
