Texas Louisiana Co energizes Atwood line at mine
The Texas Louisiana Power Company energized an extension to the Atwood mine on Wednesday. A six hundred cubic feet per minute Ingersoll Rand compressor and a 40 horsepower Hoist drive the new workshop equipment. The mine starts at 200 feet, aiming for 600 feet, with a 33 000 volt sub station and 440 volt service. Project leaders include Leigh Taliferro R L McLaren A L Gorman and the Hr Livery Master Mechanic.

Famous Aviators Visit Our Town in Lordsburg Flight Show
Jimmy Angel and his wife arrived in Lordsburg to display a mail-plane designed by Karl Orvington of Santa Barbara. Angel, a WWI Royal Flying Squadron commander, later flew with Eddie Rickenbacker and performed in film productions. An eagle damaged his Albatross wing during a low-altitude stunt, forcing a forced landing, then he rebuilt and landed safely. Mrs. Angel, famed as an airwoman, accompanied the tour and photos were taken by the Chamber of Commerce.
