Hidalgo General Hears Temporary Privileges For New Doctor

Hidalgo General Hospital approved temporary privileges for Dr. Lalitah Fernicola pending a credentials review. The 50 year old pediatrician from India will arrive in Lordsburg and begin practice December 1 after finishing work at Ft. Bayard State Hospital. The board also heard site-utility plans for a proposed clinic addition and requested a letter outlining what is needed to proceed, to be reviewed by Hidalgo County Commissioners.

Christmas Tree Permits Available At Chamber

Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce will sell Pinion and Juniper Christmas tree permits for the Gila National Forest starting Monday December 8 at the Chamber Office. Permits cost one dollar per tree up to 10 feet with larger trees needing Silver City District Office contact. Only Burro Mountains area permits for Pinion and Juniper. Douglas Fir permits sold at the District Office in Silver City.

Lordsburg will hold a Bicentennial Flag Raising at the Civic Center on Monday December 8 at 2 p.m. State dignitaries and the New Mexico American Revolution Bicentennial Commission will attend.
