To Stand Trial On Narcotic Charges
Fred Carillo Flores and Francisco Ybarra Rodriguez were bound over for district court after a Friday preliminary hearing on possession and transportation of marijuana. They were arrested Sept. 30 about two miles west of Lordsburg by Deputy Leroy McCarty and State Police Officer Joe Ortega. Bond was set at 1500 dollars each by Justice C. L. Brown. Flores was represented by John A. Anderson and Rodriguez by C. V. Nunn.

Local Couple Burned as Fuel Fumes Ignite Pickup

Don suffered second degree burns when fumes from a butane tank on a pump engine at the Richins farm in the POW Camp area ignited after a cigarette was lit in the family pickup Sunday around 5 pm. They were taken to Hidalgo General Hospital. Mr. Richins was uninjured.
