Thanksgiving Service Held By Lordsburg Woman's Club
The Lordsburg Woman's Club met Monday afternoon with Mrs. Earle Kerr presiding. Kerr reported on the Fourth District Federation of Women's Clubs meeting in Silver City on Nov. 15 1959 and noted active participation by club members. A workshop in Albuquerque honored lifetime member Mrs. R. E. Buvens. State president Mrs. John Kirk urged Unity and Diversity. A building repair plan by Mrs. Alan Koff was discussed but postponed until January.

Three Chamber of Commerce Directors Elected At Meeting
Wesley Freeburg Alton A Powell and Paul Malott were elected directors of the Chamber of Commerce at a Monday night meeting. The new directors will take office January 1. The office moves December 1 to the Hotel Hidalgo building on Railroad Street. Secretary R B Ownby notes the chamber handles about 90 inquiries a month and has sent 1500 folders since September 1 to travel and automobile agencies and individuals.

Atkinson Bakery Opens Cookie Jar Location Soon
The Atkinson Bakery will open the Cookie Jar at Shakespeare and Second streets on Monday, November 27, in rooms formerly occupied by the Gila Val Laundry. After the new year bakery equipment will move to the new location. The bakery is owned and operated by J. D. Atkinson and Mildred Atkinson. The business started about five years ago.

St Joseph’s Jubilee Celebrations in Lordsburg
