Fatal Auto Crash Kills Nurse Near Beaumont Army Hospital
A William Beaumont Army Hospital nurse Major Margaret Lewis Ormand died Sunday night from injuries after a two-vehicle crash on US 70 80 north of here. The semi truck driver and a pickup reportedly caused the collision, with charges likely against the truck driver. A separate W Guadalupe County wreck injured several others, including Katherine Colbert and Mary Lou Woodson, in incidents on Highway 80.

PTA Program Charms With Readings And Plays At High School
The November PTA meeting at the high school featured Mrs. George Staub's Grade 6-3 class presenting a reading Marco Comes Late and plays The Land of No Reading and A Party for the Parts of Speech.
