Miss Gladys Parks of Lordsburg New Mexico married Mr David Smith last Saturday November 6 in Harrison Arkansas The ceremony was conducted by Rev Lee Darnell at Central Avenue Methodist Church The couple will reside at the Ozark Hotel in Harrison and Miss Parks recently left her Lordsburg post office job to begin married life with many friends offering congratulations

Jack Heather Wins Court House Bid in Special Session

The Hidalgo County Board awarded the contract for a new court house after five bidders. Jack Heather of Lordsburg bid 32582 dollars with adjustments lowering his lead over rivals to 1515 dollars. Demolition of the Knights of Pythias building has begun and ground will be broken next Monday for the project. Hobo Steals Overcoat, Is Caught Near Town

A hobo stole an overcoat from the Hardin hotel. Marsha Conner captured the thief east of town within fifteen minutes. Before Judge Marsalis he received 0 days and will be kept as a source of free labor for cats, indicating he won’t need to cook for a while.
