The Lordsburg Ministeral Alliance hosts a community Thanksgiving service on November 19, 1989 at 7 00 P M in the school Cafetorium. City Council Okays Purchase of Dozer
Lordsburg City Council in a regular session on November 8 approved a budget transfer from General Fund to Solid Waste Fund of 72 789 to buy a caterpillar. Mayor Smith said the 1966 crawler had failed and repairs would exceed 25 000 with uncertain remaining life. The clerk contacted Santa Fe for guidance and a phone poll of nearly all members authorized the emergency transfer and purchase of a 1985 caterpillar.

Lordsburg Police Nab Robber in Armed Robbery Case
Lordsburg police arrested 26 year old Roberto A. Jimenez known as Robbie Jimenez for an armed robbery at the American Restaurant on Monday November 13 at 7 05 PM. About 341 dollars was stolen. Four witnesses identified him. He fled to Second Street and was captured after surveillance at Nancy Escobar 26 led to a warrant search. Escobar faces harboring charges with 10000 bond. Jimenez bond set at 50000. Investigators link the Escobar home search to other evidence. Chief Ed Cramer praised the officers involved.
