Lt Col Foster discusses Korea and civil defense

Lt Col Ralph L. Foster recently back from Korea spoke at a Bu and Professional Women's club Public Relations banquet and at the American Legion hall accompanied by Mrs. Foster. He served as assistant chief of staff intelligence with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and described battlefield conditions and Russian buffer zone strategy.

District Officers to Visit Bataan Post FWB and Aux

Bataan Post No 3099 VFW and its auxiliary host a joint district meeting Tuesday evening November 20 at 7 30 in the post armory. District comprises Silver City Fort Bayard and Lordsburg. Man Sought After $400 Theft at Mission Service Station

El Paso police investigated a robbery report from Lordsburg New Mexico where a 29 year old suspect allegedly stole 400 dollars from the Mission Service Station Saturday night. The thief boarded an east bound freight, with no ticket records found for bus or train travel.

Balloon Found on Blakey Ranch From Prescott Crusade

A Crusade for Freedom balloon released in Prescott Arizona on September 24 1951 was found on Blakey Ranch by Charles Blakey on November 14. The balloon in a tree contained two Join the Crusade for Freedom pamphlets and a postcard addressed to Alexander D. King of Akron Ohio. Blakey will receive a Crusade for Freedom souvenir.

Skeleton of John Y. Price Found After 1949 Disappearance

The skeleton of John Young Price was found by Norman Reece and sons while deer hunting in the Gold Hills mountains near Walker canyon. Remains included clothing and a Fa ther Flanningan book. a 1949 postmark envelope bore his name. Price had been missing since early November 1949 while claim holding in the mountains. burial services are pending pending word from relatives. A coroner's hearing occurred with Sheriff Dick Richards.

Morenci Wildcats Beat Mavericks for Third-Place Tie

Morenci Wildcats scored four touchdowns and two conversions to defeat the Lordsburg Mavericks 26 to 7 at Morenci Stadium. Tucker returned a kickoff 88 yards for Morenci’s opening score and the Mavericks suffered their best game of the season despite the loss.
