Shindig Planned For Volleyball Girls Benefit
Next Tuesday night in the gym from 8 to 9 30 PM a mothers and women’s party for the volleyball girls will feature supper and games. Mrs F H Singer is general chairwoman with Miss in charge of arrangements and Mrs Messecar handling publicity. Organizers hope many women and girls attend.

The gathering also debated Bali Java dancers profitability and announced an El Paso goodwill motorcade and Y M C A Pacific Area Conference in Lordsburg, with a patriotic original song dedicated to longtime Lion Willard Holt.

Devi Dja Bali Dance Troupe to Open 1940 41 Series
The New Mexico State Teachers College hosts Devi Dja and the Bali and Java Dancers in the opening Artists and Lectures course. Twelve native dancers and five musicians perform at the larger high school auditorium on Monday evening. The act, praised by critics, features Mas Totok’s gamelan ensemble and authentic Balinese costumes and mythic storytelling as part of a two hour cultural revue.

The Lordaburg Hidalgo Library board held its regular meeting on Monday November 4 with president Mrs Bethel Fuller presiding.
