PS Wins Third Consecutive Safety Award in NSC Fleet Contest

Air Force recruiter to visit Lordsburg for enlistment interviews

Lordsburg Junior High Loses To Deming 7 to 6

Lordsburg junior high football fell to Deming 7 to 6 last Tuesday afternoon. Deming scored the winning TD in the final minute on a long pass and run after Lordsburg had led 6 0 on Nick Arambula’s 55 yard fumble return. Six squads moved up to the high school for the Santa Rosa game.

Delegates To Girl State Report To Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary met November 7 at the Legion Hall with guests Lulu Graham Yvonne Martinez and Mary Yacomo. They reported on two days at Girls State Albuquerque learning city county and state government including laws courts and officials. Yvonne Martinez was elected Justice of the Supreme Court and was named a Girls Nation candidate. A Christmas party was planned for December with District President Mrs. Margaret Locklar to make an official visit.

Robert Clark was ordained deacon of the First Baptist Church of Lordsburg in a recent ceremony attended by Reverend Robert Harvey and deacons from Lordsburg. Present were George Evans Joe Rouse Edwin Brown Ira Moseley Sam Gass L L Benton T E Funderdunk Frank L Fisher and Harry Lathan. The candidate was presented by George Evans questioned by Reverend Harvey and charged by Reverend Funderdunk.
