Cancer Drive Underway in Hidalgo Unit Effort
The Hidalgo Unit of the American Cancer Society launches a local fund drive in Lordsburg Liberal. Envelopes will be sent this week for donations. A $1 gift funds 30,000 educational pamphlets, $50 supports a cancer research specialist with a micrometer, $25 supplies materials for 2,500 dressings, and $10 buys glass flasks for virus culture research. All contributions are tax deductible.
