The body of Larry Eugene DeBogery, 63, of Dallas, was found on an embankment of the Muir overpass 12 miles east of Lordsburg. Autopsy showed stabbing with an ice pick like instrument. death at 6:30 a.m. Investigators from Grant County Sheriff's office. The victim's wallet contained about $200. His car was found abandoned in Las Cruces trail court area and taken to Silver City for follow up.

Lordsburg Sees Rainfall Surpass Five Month Average
Lordsburg recorded 10.60 inches of rain in the five months from May 30 to October 40, according to the State Highway Department Office on East Railroad Ave. The five month total exceeds the 10.13 inch average for 1931 to 1960. October brought 4.76 inches with 1.05 inches in 25 minutes on October 19 and 2.96 inches in 30 hours on October 19 and 26.
