Dr. Janet Reid announces a Shepard-Towner Act program in Hidalgo County. Dr. Gertrude Light from New York will direct maternity and infancy outreach for English speakers with surveys and classes, followed by Miss Delores Ramirez for Spanish speakers. Lora Hadley will psychoanalyze children for one month. A kickoff meeting is set for Friday at 2 PM in the Baptist church rear room.

In Virden the Primary Association No. 1 hosted a Halloween party at the schoolhouse to raise funds.
