Edington Arrested in Rodeo Slaying
Birt R. Edington of Rodeo New Mexico was charged with first degree murder in the May 4 shooting death of Domingo Soto Alvarez. He was picked up Thursday by Hidalgo County deputies and appeared before Magistrate Rosa Lina Salinas who ordered him held without bond. Alvarez worked in Rodeo at the time of his death.
