New Nine Hole Municipal Golf Course Planned For City
A new nine hole municipal golf course with five greens will soon operate in the southeastern city area. Local highway engineer Bob Wellborn led the layout work in his off time. Citizens are invited to join with a meeting to organize a full officers slate. An invitation tournament is planned in three weeks with players from Deming Silver City Hurley and others expected to participate. Lordsburg hopes for Southwestern Golf League entry this spring joining Deming Silver City Hurley Anthony Las Cruces and Hatch previously.

Stolen 1933 Chevrolet Recovered by Sheriff Office
A new 1933 Chevrolet coupe stolen from a Anaheim salesroom was recovered by Sheriff Conner's office. Two youths, 17 and 18, were charged after J. C. White of the Department of Justice questioned them. Both pleaded guilty and were bonded for 1000 dollars to appear before the next Grand Jury or before Judge Neblett.
