Blossoms In The Dust Aid Red Cross Blood Drive
The American Red Cross reports it has supplied over 175000 pints of blood for Korean war wounded and military stockpiling since August. Private banks cooperating with the Red Cross have contributed more than 38000 pints. Whole blood is flown from the United States to the Far East to supplement the Tokyo UN blood bank.

Schools and Theatre To Sponsor Show for Hospital Fund
The Hidalgo County Hospital Fund Drive total rose to 4321 with about 800 collected this week. The Allen family led by Mrs. E. Allen and sons Dick and James will donate all proceeds from a Blossoms in the Dust showing at Coronado theatre on April 4 to the drive.

Easter Egg Hunt Ends in Search for Two Lost Girls
Grace Vasquez a 9 year old and her friend 11 year old Andrea Rodriguez disappeared during an Easter egg hunt near Gold Gulch Sunday afternoon. A group of about 16 children searched the area until they alerted Grace’s aunt Marcilla Vasquez and then the sheriff’s office was contacted around 1 pm.
