Governor Cargo Heads Easter Seal Campaign in New Mexico
Gov. David Cargo, state chairman for the 1968 Easter Seal Campaign, appears in a Santa Fe office with Lori Chavez, a six year old neuromuscular handicapped girl, as the drive to aid through Easter Seal Society programs expands. About 190 600 letters have been mailed statewide to launch the 1968 appeal, which runs through Easter Sunday, April 14.

Statewide drive to register trailers begins in New Mexico
The Department of Motor Vehicles launches a statewide drive to register trailers and mobile homes missing the March 2 deadline. Inspectors will check trailer courts, construction sites, and neighborhoods to locate unregistered units. New Mexico law requires registration for non ad valorem trailers with current plates or stickers. Fines apply after March 2: 15 percent of the registration fee plus 1.09 dollars per day.
