Lordsburg Grade School won the Grade School Tournament by beating Cliff 45 to 21 in the final. Santa Rita topped Deming 21 to 16 in the morning, Cliff beat Duncan 22 to 7 in the afternoon, and Lordsburg undermined Santa Rita 33 to 7 to reach the final. Many Trees Set Out By Citizens Here This Year
Over 175 Chinese Elm trees were received from State College for Lordsburg area planting this spring. More than 100 were ordered by individuals for home grounds, including 24 Elma and 12 each for school grounds and cemetery. Campbell pleads guilty in oil warehouse burglary case
