History of the Church of Christ at Fifth Pyramid Street
The church of Christ at Fifth in Pyramid streets organized February 25 1496 after earlier meetings in Lordsburg. John A Chen and others joined, with S K Hallam of El Paso guiding initial services. Members confessed faith, were baptized, and fellowship was extended to several former Presbyterians and others as the group formed on the New Testament basis.

Lordsburg will host the Jr Midget Basketball tourney with three sessions set for Thursday evening March 15 and all day Saturday March 17. Brackets feature five teams each with age and grade limits for elementary midgets Jr high midgets and Jr High division. The Thursday opening session pits Central of Lordsburg.

Hold-Up and Robbery Reported at Western Courts Station
Early Wednesday morning around 1 55 a m three or four highwaymen robbed Western Courts gas station owned by Mrs Arley Dunne. The assailants struck attendant R H Green with an oil can and took 87 dollars then fled. Green was later locked in a ladies restroom until a passing car frightened them away. Four suspects are detained in El Paso as Sheriff Dick Richards and state police examine identities. At Lehman Store a skylight entry yielded a leather pouch with several dollars missing Wednesday morning.

Muir Memorial Concert Presented by Local High Band
The high school band under Lyman Hall will perform Tuesday evening March 27 in the high school auditorium. The concert honors the late John T. Brick Co Plans Rainfall Increase via Cloud Seeding
A large turnout of Hidalgo County cattlemen farmers and others gathered March 9 at Coronado theatre to discuss artificial rain making and cloud seeding. Brick Co representative Mr Shipman explained the method, noting it does not create rain but increases the amount once mature, as slides illustrated.
