Leonard Tallon Services Held In Oregon

Leonard G Tallon a former Lords burg resident died Sunday February 19 in a Medford Oregon hospital A memorial service was held Monday at the Tallon residence with Chaplain Edward A Wilson from the Rogue Valley Center officiating He is survived by wife Aletha a grandson Leonard Judd and his wife Gloria and four great grandchildren Pamela Robert Kelly and Christina Judd from Darien Conn He was preceded in death by a daughter Gretchen Interment was in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford Oregon He was a life member of Butte Lodge No 240 BPOE and of the Silver Bow Post No 1 American Legion both of Butte Montana

Epstein Meets With Lodgers Tax Committee

Bob Epstein of Epstein Communications met with the Lodgers Tax Committee to discuss taking over the area advertising campaign for Lordsburg Silver City Deming. The plan revised the budget to include Epstein ideas, delaying some advertising while brochures placemats and billboards are prepared. Local ads will promote Lordsburg as the Gateway to the Old West and Hidalgo County attractions.
