Manuel V. Saucedo announced his bid for the Democratic nomination for District Judge, Division II, Sixth Judicial District covering Grant Hidalgo and Luna Counties. Leonard G Tallon a former Lords burg resident died Sunday February 19 in a Medford Oregon hospital A memorial service was held Monday at the Tallon residence with Chaplain Edward A Wilson from the Rogue Valley Center officiating He is survived by wife Aletha a grandson Leonard Judd and his wife Gloria and four great grandchildren Pamela Robert Kelly and Christina Judd from Darien Conn He was preceded in death by a daughter Gretchen Interment was in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford Oregon He was a life member of Butte Lodge No 240 BPOE and of the Silver Bow Post No 1 American Legion both of Butte Montana
Bob Epstein of Epstein Communications met with the Lodgers Tax Committee to discuss taking over the area advertising campaign for Lordsburg Silver City Deming. The plan revised the budget to include Epstein ideas, delaying some advertising while brochures placemats and billboards are prepared.
