Fire Destroys Davis Home North of Lordsburg
A tent home of Ogan Davis and family, four miles north of Lordsburg, burned Thursday at 12 noon. Mrs. Davis was home alone and saved some bed clothing while the Winslow brothers helped save the adobe structure. Insurance covered part, with nearly $100 raised locally for replacements. 60 to 75 residents contributed clothing and bedding.

Pioneer Resident Thom as A. Lister Dies After Illness
Pioneer resident Thomas A. Lister died Thursday evening February 23 after a months long battle with cancer at age 73. Funeral services were held at Heather funeral home with Rev. S. M. Mims officiating. pallbearers included E. M. Fisher and others. He was born in Philadelphia County Pennsylvania and married Anna Belle Cumings in 1493. He later moved west and worked in mining. Survived by son Thomas R. Lister of Lordsburg and stepson E. W. Fowler, railway superintendent.
