Out at the old Bonney mining area, the Shelly shaft on the lease run by H. H. Shelly and J. L. Wells yields ore at depths of 3 to 4 feet valued at over 100 dollars per ton with two ounces of gold. Lone Leasing Cops mine on the same vein reports similar high-grade production at the 274-foot level. New District Surgeon and Family Move into Lordsburg Hospital

C7 Austin newly appointed district surgeon for the Southern Pacific has moved into the Lordsburg emergency hospital once occupied by the late Dr. M. M. Crocker. The transformed hospital features a central general reception room with private offices, eye service room, and a capable laboratory. Jesse TL Smith and his family arrived from Magdalens and settle at one of the Ownby residences, bringing educational aims and community value to Lordsburg. Amith is set to visit the Lancheon Club next Tuesday as a special guest.
