Bank Robber Sentenced in Lordsburg Case
Simon Leon Anderson was sentenced to five years imprisonment by Judge Sam Bratton in Albuquerque for the October robbery of the First National Bank of Lordsburg, $924, after psychiatric treatment. Virginia Dunkerson was threatened with a shotgun during the heist. Anderson was captured minutes later nearby. James K E Franco, 28, of Bisbee, pleaded guilty to a January bank robbery of $12,595 and faces July sentencing. he used a toy pistol and was arrested in a hotel room near the bank.
