Sanchez Rodriguez died in Lordsburg at 9 35 P M after a one car crash on a road near Guadalpe San Lordsburg driving lost control and rolled the car Both boys were taken to county hospital where Rodriguez died later He was 20 years old survived by wife two daughters and his parents Mass held at St Josephs Church with interment in the cemetery.

Supreme Court Upholds Contempt Sentences in Hanover Strike
The New Mexico Supreme Court affirmed 90 day jail terms for Clinton Jencks and five Mine, Mill and Smelters Workers Union members. The sentences stem from a 1950 strike at the Empire zinc plant in Hanover and were imposed by District Judge A W Marshall. The ruling remands them to Grant County jail pending further proceedings.
