Sheriff's Posse Rodeo Sets Weekend Schedule at Hidalgo County
The Hidalgo County Sheriffs Posse Rodeo begins this Saturday and Sunday at the fairground arena with 1 p.m. performances. G I Tucker leads the posse and several out of state contestants are expected. Entries are at Hollen Hotel with books closing Friday night. Events include calf roping, team tying, bull dogging, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, bareback, bull riding and girls barrel race. A dance to 1 a.m. features the Western Gentlemen at the fairgrounds Friday and La Tiesta Saturday.
