Dust of the Earth Delights Lordsburg Audience at Star Theatre

A large Lordsburg audience attended Dust of the Earth at Star Theatre Tuesday evening directed by Mrs. Sellers. Local talent shone with Will Rose on a vocal solo and Mrs. M. P. Walker on violin. The Harmony Four Orchestra led by Mildred Clayton provided music, with Walker, Chase, Dr. Banks Austin, and Simmons contributing.

Methodist Church Announces Vanderpool's Training Absence

Kev W H Vanderpool leaves this week to attend two eastern training schools and will be absent two Sundays. Sunday School will be held as usual and Epworth League will meet at 7 30 instead of 7:00. Adults are invited to the League service.

Deming Hosts Twenty Two Masons For Third Degree Feast

Death of Mrs J D Everett in Long Beach California

Mrs J D Everett died at her son Scott Everett’s home in Long Beach California last Thursday in poor health after a coastal trip for climate. Born Nettie Ogden September 29 1874 in Texas she married James T Everett in 1904 and had eight living children. A Christian Church member and devoted mother she died aged 29? No the article notes eight living children and funeral was held Sunday under Rev Phillips.

Daily Vacation Bible School Opens At Christian Church

The Daily Vacation Bible School began Monday at 9:00 am at the Christian Church with 29 enrollees, rising to 34 by day two. Four classes cover Beginners to Intermediate, with songs, drills, memory work, stories, and sand table activities, followed by recess. Visitors welcome to observe and enrollments urged before the three week term ends.

Pioneer Lordsbury Mourns Death of Longtime Resident

Lordsbury mourns the passing of Hiorece L. Gammon, a Maine born mechanic who arrived in 1848 and helped build the first silver roll at Lightendorf. Survived by four children, he was honored with mineral services at the Capital church as business houses closed for the tribute.
