Wie Memorial Dedication Observed in Lordsburg
The Wie Memorial dedication on Memorial Day Sunday May 30 at 5 pm on the Courtyard lawn was sponsored by the Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce with the American Legion prominent. The event featured the Lordsburg High Band directed by Charles Crouch, a National Anthem, Star Spangled Banner, welcome by R B Ownby, a quartet, organ accompaniment, talks by O M Jones Vern Payne and Marshall Fuller, wreath laying by George P Jeffus, a firing salute, a dedication prayer by Rev Paul Hively and taps by Crouch Heather and Alvarez.
