Memorial Service Marks Fifty Years at Shakespeare Store

On July 4 at Old Shakespeare store, a memorial service honored the fiftieth anniversary of the Knights of Pythia Lovdaburg with master of ceremonies 2. Ownby. A burning sun set as the audience sang America and remembered past Knights. Emma Muir recalled early days while Frank and Mrs. Hill invited the crowd inside to view the interior as it was in 1896.

Lions Club Luncheon Sees Excellent Attendance at Meeting

Ohio couple wed in Trinity Methodist Church Sunday

Dan George of Lordsburg married Marie Dillehay of Newcomerstown in Trinity Methodist Church on June 23. The ceremony featured palms and an arch, with lil ies, gladioli, and brides bouquet. After a reception at the Dillehay home the couple left for a trip and will live in El Paso Texas after August first.

Hugh Beavers, son of Josph and Mrs Beavers of Duncan Arizona, born September 6 1926, died July 6 in Lordsburg Hospital. Buried July 7 in Duncan after Methodist sermon. Navy service 1943 to 1946 with six bronze stars. survived by parents and brother Robert plus many relatives.

The Amer ican Iron and Steel Institute committee on scrap calls farmers to deliver accumulated scrap to local dealers to prevent a postwar shortage. Grand Assembly Honors Rainbow Girls In Albuquerque

Mrs Mary Dee Kipp and Mrs Clara Brown led seven Rainbow Girls to Grand Assembly in Albuquerque. Mabel Brown was elected Supreme Grand Chaplain and Kipp joined the Grand Executive Board.
