Death of Pioneer Hale Chenowth Quietly Passes at 51
The region loses a famed cattleman Hale Chenowth died after a two week illness on July 5. Born on the Chenowth ranch fifty one years ago he married Emma Washburn on August 10 1914. Survivors include daughters Mary Louise and Olive Hale. Funeral services were held July 6 at Heather funeral home with Rev. M. C. Moore officiating. interment followed at Mountainview cemetery.

Ranchers Cooperate With Soil Conservation Service
Nearly one hundred ranchers on the upper Gila watershed in Arizona and New Mexico signed agreements to cooperate with the erosion control program. Recruiting Party to Visit Lordsburg Next Week
A unit from the 82nd Field Artillery accompanied by Armored Car Squadron personnel will stay overnight in Lordsburg on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Staff Sergeant Aaron V.
