Mrs. Harry Pooley and sister Mrs. Viola Dowdey rode a Hudson coach with her son from Los Angeles to Lordsburg. Near Gila Bend the car rolled three summersaults over sand, demolishing the vehicle and injuring Mrs. Dowdey. All other occupants escaped unharmed. Mrs. Dowdey arrived by train the next day. Mrs JT M Sanders of Duncan died in Lordsburg on Thursday afternoon along with her newborn baby girl. She was 33 and left four children and a grieving husband. Funeral was at the Sanders ranch with JL T Watters delivering the service. Mother and baby were buried together in the family cemetery.
