Lordsburg to face jury over discriminatory practices case
Mayor Alan Koff said the city will not appeal if the jury rules for 17 former workers alleging unlawful discrimination by Lordsburg. Judge Joe Ryan granted the city right to appeal the New Mexico Human Rights Commission decision. Trial set for Monday at Hidalgo County Courthouse with about three days of proceedings.

Lordsburg Teen Arrested in String of Burglaries
Lordsburg Police and Hidalgo County Sheriff arrested 19 year old David Ray Rocha of 216 W Railway Lordsburg on nine counts of dwelling burglary. Officers recovered about 80 percent of items from past burglaries including trophies from Lordsburg High School. Rocha was arraigned before Magistrate Rosa Lina Salinas and released on 5000 dollars bond.

War veterans in Hidalgo County to receive $5000 checks
