Sailor Killed When Car Rams Rear of Stalled Dump Truck
Bryan J. Hogue a 20 year old San Diego sailor died after his 1959 Oldsmobile struck the rear of a stalled manganese ore laden dump truck on Highway 70 and 80 about 22 miles east of Lordsburg. The truck driver and a companion were treated for shock and released. Investigators suspect Hogue had driven straight through from San Diego without rest, and skid marks were absent. The March of Dimes outlines expanded aid to polio and disabled children, with funds needed for 50 000 polio patients and 150 000 potential rehabilitation beneficiaries.
