July 6 4-H clubs meet in Lordsburg report
In Lordsburg District 4-H clubs gathered on July 6 as the Coalition of Counties held a meeting in Reserve. A Tucson man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping in the area. Railroad Days attracted visitors from Indinapolis Indiana Bozeman Montana and Baton Rouge.

Lordsburg District runs three candidates for three seats with incumbents Placencia and Estrada unopposed while Williams retires leaving one seat open. Write-in Pam Sanders filed for position one on January 3. Animal District sees seven candidates for three vacancies with Richardson Willis for position one Merrell Keeler for District Two and Medina challenged by George and Bittle in District Three. Elections set for February 5 with four year terms.
