Air Devil King to headline Lordsburg air show Saturday

The ace wing walker Happy Jack Wise will headline a joint Sherard & Winstead and Three Hawks flying circus at Lordsburg airport on Saturday. The event features air races balloon bursting parachute jumps and a mystery stunt deemed the show’s highlight. Admission is one dollar per automobile load with roads kept clear and local businesses closing 1:30 to 3:30 for the event.

Clever thieves strike Lorde burg business houses

Thieves entered several business premises in Lorde burg last week and stole money and checks. The Hitler Lumber Company office was entered between Saturday night and Monday morning, money and several checks taken, though checks were stopped. Slot machines at Lester Pool Hall and the St Elmo Club were also robbed.

The Lordsburg W. C. T. U. met at the Methodist church on Monday January 5 1951 for a regular session. Members studied Arthur Briggs November Forum article and discussed Albuquerque Journal dispatches on a sheriff clean-up campaign in Bernalillo County.
