Dairy Cows in Hidalgo County Undergo Bangs Testing
On November 21 Dr W W Wiseman and C Caldwell tested 220 head from Lordsburg Lent's and Bailey dairies for Bangs disease. Five reactors and one suspect were found. Results show need for closer milk control though no Lordsburg ordinances exist. Brucella abortus causes Bangs disease in cattle and undulant fever in humans. Raw milk poses the greatest risk.

The Lordsburg Lions Club held a Tuesday noon meeting. President Claude Sanders outlined progress by committees including a plan to issue a large edition of the Lordsburg Liberal for advertising.
