Local Men Die In Plane Crash Near El Paso

Two local men, Clifford L Adams and John P Hiser, died in a plane crash about 35 miles northeast of El Paso on the McGregor Military Range. Hiser, the pilot, was flying from Wink to Lordsburg when icing at 9000 feet caused trouble. Ground units and Civil Air Patrol searched overnight. wreckage found at 7:20 am. Adams owned the Yuc ca Motel and Trailer Court. funeral services held for Adams, with Hiser’s arrangements pending.

Funeral services for Percy Alexander Friday

Funeral services for Percy Alexander, who died at Hidalgo General Hospital Tuesday evening after a heart attack, will be held Friday at 4 pm at Heather Chapel. The body will be shipped to Littlefield, Texas, for burial. He was a retired dispatcher and former acting chief of the Lordsburg Police Department. A complete obituary is expected in next week's Liberal.
