Bonds of the Lordsburg Municipal Schools totaling 400000 were sold at a public sale February 17. Boettcher & Company of Denver submitted the low bid with a 3.72857 percent effective rate and a 667.66 premium, with two associates. The bonds are general obligation bonds approved by voters June 23 1959 and will mature over 10 years with 40000 falling due annually to fund new school buildings.

Bursey Urges Merit System Visit in Lordsburg

City Police Hold Stolen Truck Tractor
City police stopped a truck and trailer Sunday night after midnight on reports the tractor was stolen in Pomona California. The $26,000 tractor owned by the Colorado Ken worth Corp. was recovered. two men in the truck were held briefly and released when no charges were filed. The truck is held for its owners.
