The 700th Ordinance Light Maintenance Company of the 45th Division earned the Meritorious Service Unit Insignia for outstanding work maintaining division ordinance gear on the Anzio Beachhead in Italy from January 15 to May 21, 1944. Lordsburg Hospital reports Judge C W Marantio, aged ninety one, has been hospitalized nearly a month and will stay at least another month. Friends hope for full recovery after a severe illness last week. Secretary Holt suffered a violent attack at his Chamber of Commerce desk and was rushed to hospital. four days later he had recovered enough to return to work.
