Local Man Fatally Injured In Wreck Near Hermosillo
Two Lordsburg men were injured when their truck overturned near Hermosillo Mexico on Sunday. Bob Cox died in a Hermosillo hospital Monday from injuries. Toby Hansen, local garage operator, received severe injuries and was to be flown home Friday. Cox worked for Hansen at the garage. Further details were unavailable at press time.

Burglar Receives Prison Sentence
A. Z. Williams was sentenced by District Judge Norman Hodges to one to five years in the State penitentiary for burglary of Toby's Liquor Store last November. He conducted his own defense, and after sentencing gave notice of appeal to the state Supreme Court. Deputy Sheriff Bob Lee transported him to the Santa Fe prison.

Federal Aid Money Available For Game In New Mexico
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish will receive 461 386 dollars in federal aid this fiscal year from the Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife. About 3 370 205 dollars come from Wild life Restoration funds and 111 18 dollars from the Dingell Johnson fish restoration act. Since 1938 the state has received about seven million dollars from these programs. Depot R R Crossing Receives Improvement
Black-top surfacing of the railroad crossing at the Southern Pacific depot has been completed by city workmen under Supt Ted White. Preliminary work was done by 5 P crews under a city agreement. The project results from City railroad negotiations after earlier plans to close the crossing. The City also oil surfaced 13th Street from Animas Ave east to the hospital and Randall Street north from 13th.
