Customs Officers and Sheriff Nab Smuggling Ring
Tuesday night customs officers and Sheriff Felix KR Jones and deputies seized four five gallon cases of alcohol and four sacks of bottled goods from a coal car in the 8 P yards. Smugglers planned to unload out of town but the raid halted the operation before they joined the goods. The seizure prevented trouble for many residents.
