Grant County Symphony to Present Sunday Concert
The Grant County Symphony will perform Sunday afternoon February 19 at Central School in a Lords-Parent Teachers Association sponsored event. The orchestra formed September 12, 1949 is a community effort with high level musicians traveling up to 50 miles for rehearsals. Alo Ne Parotti of New Mexico West College coordinates and comments on the dedication of the players.

Guest Speaker Wesley Freeburg Addresses Rodeo PTA

State Basketball Tournament At Tucumcari

Boosters Organization Forms For Regional Advertising
The Lordsburg Chamber of Commerce hosts a Wednesday banquet in the Palador room to form a regional booster group aiming to advertise the area spanning New Mexico Arizona state line to Pecos Fort Stockton and reaching into Old Mexico. Attendees include Mr and Mrs Lewis Garcia Mr and Mrs Buford Slover Jr Mr and Mrs D C Bryant Mr and Mrs Garland Johnson from Animas along with Lloyd Bloodworth of Ruidoso Charlee DeBord and Mayor and Mrs DeBord District Attorney and Mrs Thomas Foy. George P Jeffus presided and Rev David E Moore gave the blessing as a sax quartet provided dinner music.
