God And Country Award Presented Jimmy Brunner
Jimmy Brunner son of Rev and Mrs Lester Brunner received the God and Country Award from the Boy Scouts of America church committee. The badge requires eighteen months of study with the pastor, Bible study, church history, and active church service. He is the only Yucca Council boy outside El Paso to hold the honor, and his parents scoutmaster are very proud.

New Mexico State Police Staff Expanded in Lordsburg
Captain John Bradford and Patrolman Wallace Tapley stationed in Lordsburg as NM State Police expand presence. Tapley, veteran of 10 years in the Air Force and former POW, joined Santa Fe Police School in 1952 and will serve permanently in the Lordsburg area. He is married with one son and previously led police in Mayard NM. Bradford remains in Lordsburg while Tapley assists with added duties from his promotion.
