T B Williams received a package from the Philippine Islands sent last November by his son Charles. It contained 70 pictures made on the islands and an ornately crafted pocket knife with a double handle that locks to form a miniature dagger. A letter from before the war noted the shipment.

Injuries Suffered by Ira Conner in Phoenix Fall
Word reached Lordsburg relatives Saturday that Ira Conner formerly of Lordsburg was injured Friday when he fell from a car in the 8 P yard at Phoenix. He fractured bones in his back and will wear a cast for about three months. He will be taken to the 8 P Hospital in San Francisco when able. Mr and Mrs W L Conner were called to Phoenix and returned Sunday. Mrs Albert Posner accompanied them but remained with her mother. He is expected to recover.

Planes Crash Near Hachita Kills Four Cadets
A squadron from Lake Field Arizona en route east had five planes crash near Hachita. Four pilots died, one parachuted to safety. One body found hundreds of feet from his aircraft wrapped in a parachute. All cadets were in training at Luke Field near Phoenix.
